The KCB East Africa Golf Tour is set to make its next stop at the renowned Ruiru Sports Club, marking the 11th leg of the highly competitive series.

The par-72 course, celebrated for its generous fairways and well-manicured greens, will host 280 amateur golfers vying for top honors and a place in the grand finale scheduled for December 5.

This weekend’s tournament has generated excitement within the golfing community, with participants eyeing the chance to secure their spot in the final event.

The top-performing team will automatically advance, joining others who have already booked their places in earlier rounds of the tour.

Lady Captain Rhoda Mukami expressed enthusiasm about hosting the event, noting the club’s growing reputation as a premier venue for golf competitions.

“We’re expecting a strong turnout on Saturday. Ruiru has become a preferred location for corporate golf events due to our unwavering commitment to quality. We’ve invested significantly in maintaining our course, and our collaboration with KCB continues to support the game’s development.”

The previous leg, held in Nairobi, saw two teams from Karen Country Club — featuring golfers such as Rose Njendu, Mutheu Ngunze, Elizabeth Kimkung, Rosemary Njogu, Atsango Lwande, Monica Kipchumba, Rebecca Juma, and Violet Luchendo — earn their spots in the grand finale.

KCB Group’s Director of Marketing and Communications, Rosalind Gichuru, highlighted the bank’s broader vision for the tournament.

“Our mission is to expand the reach of golf across the country. The 2025 KCB East Africa Golf Tour has engaged more than 1,500 players and introduced over 1,000 juniors to the sport through simultaneous golf clinics. It’s part of our wider goal to build regional unity, promote inclusivity in golf, and support social and economic growth.”

Notable golfers such as Paul Kamau — a recent winner at Ruiru — and long-driver Susan Kanyora are expected to feature prominently.

The first tee-off will begin at 6:30 am, with the afternoon round scheduled for 12:30 pm.
