Hon Roselinda Soipan Tuya,the Cabinet Secretary appointee for Environment and Forestry is the first woman from the Maasai community to ascend to the position of a Cabinet secretary if approved by parliament.
“I am grateful for having appointed the first woman from my community into the cabinet, I am ready to deliver according to the expectations, “Said Soipan early today in parliament.
Soipan has promised to carry forth Minister Michuki`s initiatives of protecting riparian land as well as cleaning of the Rivers beginning with The Nairobi river.
Soipan also supported the deputy presidents latests sentiments on cultivation of forest land by citizens through the shamba system noting that ,Shamba Act 2016 advocates for plantation establishment and livelihood development, through planting short term crops that will preserve the forest resources and sustain citizens.
Soipan`s net worth is ksh 150 million.
