Deputy President commissions National Steering Committee on Drought Response

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Friday commissioned the National Steering Committee on Drought Response and appealed to Kenyans to further complement government intervention efforts by contributing in cash or kind to the well-being of those in need.
The 15-member Committee, established through an Executive Order from the Office of the President issued on November 21st, 2022, has been tasked to establish the private sector-led National Drought Mitigation Appeal Fund.
