Healthcare Workers Protest Outside Health Ministry Demanding Immediate Postings and Better Conditions

There has been unrest in the health sector recently ,healthcare workers have resorted to sit ins and strikes.
Medical interns were spotted camping outside the office of health cabinet secretary , Susan Nyakhumicha to demand improved working conditions and fair compensations, the medical professionals also protest the delay in their official postings after completing their studies.
“We are tired of being taken for granted , our future cannot be held hostage while we watch , we know ur rights and it is our right to be posted within thirty days after completing our studies.”Dr Blasio Bukens , intern.
They emphasized the psychological distress and professional hinderance caused by the delay , and demanded immediate posting for all interns as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.
“This is a ministry that is handling 10 Billion shillings that is supposed to be allocated to us , we ask them why haven’t they posted interns for the last two years , they are postponing meetings , the second best time to post us was today.”-Dr Austin Odhiambo, medical intern .
