The Uasin Gishu County Assembly has approved the nomination of 10 individuals to serve in various departments as County Executive Committee Members (CECMs).

Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim had early in October nominated the 10 to be members of his cabinet after which the names were forwarded to the County Assembly for vetting.

Assembly’s Committee on Appointment chaired by Speaker Phillip Muigei vetted the nominees mid-last month after which they drafted a report that was submitted on Wednesday morning.

In their report, the committee recommended the approval of all the nominees.
