Peace;Man and family walk 367Km calling an end to banditry!

A man and his wife have walked 367Km from Lodwar town in Turkana County to Eldoret , Uasin Gishu in what was dubbed as , “A walk of faith, is a walk for peace”
Dr Lochodo Malcom and the wife Christine Lochodo braved the hot sun, chilly nights and above all the fear of attacks from bandits along the Kitale – Lodwar Highway to make it to Eldoret the Economic hub for the North Rift Counties,
“We walked for eight days the journey was not an easy one ,It was a walk of faith to persuade our people to maintain peace and embrace each other”, Said Dr Lochodo when he made his last stop at a centrally placed unique road signage within Eldoret town that provides directions and kilometers to various cities and destinations in the Word.

It is at this signage that I have completed my 367 Km journey ,accompanied by my lovely wife , and over 20 youth drawn from West Pokot , Turkana and Trans Nzoia counties.He added.
Dr Lochodo who was received in Eldoret Town by Rev Simion Kimutai of NCCK and an Eldoret based Business man Malkit Singh the Ceo New yako Supermarket and Francis Mberia the manager , noted that the most dangerous part of their journey was a stretch between Kakong and Kainuk where a number of matatus plying the route have been attacked and lives lost,

“Kakong to Kainuk in Turkana South is one of the most dangerous places ,followed by Lami Nyeusi in West Pokot , But from today that place will be referred to as Lami Nyeupe because it is at that place that we held joint prayers between the various communities and we embraced each other as a sign of peace” He added.
Dr Lochodo has urged government to intensify the security situation within the North Rift region in order to protect lives and businesses.
“I have done my part , I trust the Lord for the rest”Stated Lochodo.
