Eldoret Media Hub, Kenya’s First of Its Kind, Officially Launched in 2021 to Transform Local Journalism
Following its success, the Media Council of Kenya has since established other regional media hubs across the country to expand capacity building and support for journalists. The Eldoret Media Hub continues to serve as a key center for nurturing media talent and advancing digital journalism in the region.

Eldoret Media Hub was officially launched on August 6, 2021, marking a key milestone in strengthening local journalism, digital media production, and community storytelling in Eldoret and the wider region. The hub was established to provide a professional platform for content creation, training, and media innovation, supporting both emerging and practicing journalists in adapting to the evolving digital news landscape.
