Maraga Pledges Crackdown on Corruption and Theft of Public Funds if Elected President

David Maraga who served as Chief Justice has declared his intention to enact strict measures against public fund misappropriation if he wins the presidency, claiming that Kenya presently suffers from inadequate leadership and ineffective governance which leads the nation to incorrect paths.

Maraga the presidential candidate who represents the United Green Movement (UGM) Party, accused President William Ruto’s current government of operating with widespread corruption throughout its entire system. He claimed that government officials who steal public assets result in major service delivery issues because they take essential resources from critical sectors.

He established his reform goals by showing his commitment to building accountability systems which will help the country run its operations properly. Maraga listed his primary office responsibilities as fighting corruption and stopping officials from stealing public assets.

The former Chief Justice identified corruption as the root cause of current educational problems while addressing constituents who participated in voter registration during Kinango Constituency activities in Kwale County. He warned that the nation would face permanent damage because of ongoing financial mismanagement which results in school funds being wasted.

Maraga expressed his concerns about public resource depletion together with the rising youth unemployment crisis. He argued that Kenya possesses enough resources but corruption causes officials to steal funds which should support vital services.
