The county chief officer of Nairobi, Geoffrey Mosiria, is receiving a recognition at the international level under the honour of International Eminent Peace Ambassador from the International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA). The award was handed over to him owing to his significant commitment to humanitarian practice and his much diplomatic advocacy to improve the lives of communities.
In a note dated December 20, 2025, such space noted Mosiria’s qualities of unwavering dedication to public service, compassion, and inclusive leadership, which commended him by the international peace body. The Special Consultative Status by the United Nations Economic and Social Council to the IAWPA laid out the consistency in the efforts of Mosiria for uplifting the social economic life of Kenyans through people-oriented projects and initiatives.
As the association claimed, the award will fit into recognition of sustained efforts by Mosiria to promote peace, social justice, and sustainable development not only within the county but also at a wider level. The initiatives planned under his leadership were said to be impactful on adopted community-oriented goals reflecting and supportive of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Honor shall be conferred upon Mosiria within an award ceremony happening on January 11, 2026, in Nairobi. The installation shall be performed by the World Peace President, Ambassador Per Stafsen of Denmark, in the presence of senior officials from the association, including representatives of the organisation’s African leadership.
Beside this ambassadors award, Mosiria will also be awarded recognition as an International Diplomat. This role will involve participation in peace-related forums and conferences linked to the United Nations across different parts of the world. Through this platform, he will advocate for global peace, social cohesion, and sustainable development programs.
The international event will also mark the official commencement of the “Peace Begins With Me” Campaign in Kenya. It is a grassroots initiative dedicated to peace and harmony among people at the localities across the country. Mosiria has become the first Kenyan to win this eminent peace ambassador award for the class of 2026.
The International Association of World Peace Advocates commended the Nairobi County official as being a model of servant leadership whose deeds continue to inspire unity, hope, and positive transformation. Such acts, according to the organization, are reflective of a commitment to selfless service and humanity.
This global recognition, therefore, joins Geoffrey Mosiria among the elite world peace advocates and further signifies a rising profile and influence of Kenya in international peace-building and diplomatic engagements.
