Ummahat integrated school Eldoret among top performers

There was joy and jubilation at a little known school of Ummahat in Uasin Gishu County after Chepkorir Ramadhan managed to attain 410 marks in the just released KCPE National Examinations .
Speaking to the press Chepkorir the top student said it was through prayer, hard work, and determination that made her perform well.
“First of all I want to thank Allah for these results, I was happy to receive the information although I expected to get 430 marks, I thank God , my family and my teachers for the marks I have attained,” she said.
She says she wants to join Sheik Khalifa secondary school and thereafter become a doctor.
Salma Mutai mother to Ramadhan says “We thank God for this far, we had an expectation that she will do well and she always said she will surprise us and she just did that,”
Khadija Mohamed Yusuf, the principal of Ummahat Integrated School said they are grateful to God for the exemplary performance this year .

“This year we got a positive deviation compared to what we got last year. The school is owned by a women’s group that’s a non profit making organization meant to help orphans and the needy in society,” she said.
“We thank parents and students for their hard work with such results. We will get donors who will support the school and set up a secondary school Unit.,” she added.
Mama Zainab one of the founders of the school says they did not have a chance to go to school and hence the motivation to set up the primary school with an aim of ensuring that many needy children get an opportunity to chase their educational dreams .

“As women, we came together and the seven of us began this institution to support the educational needs of our children.We thank God for the performance we had and we hope to perform even better next year. I advise parents whose children have performed well to join national schools across the country ,”She said.
This Year The school had 17 candidates.
