Busia Governor welcomes the push to reintroduce Leader of official opposition

Busia Governor His Excellency Dr Paul Otuoma has welcomed the push to reintroduce Leader of official opposition in Government.

Otuoma said the official opposition will set a platform for opposition leadership to bargain and push development agenda.

He noted that to keep the government in check, there should  be the  reintroduction of a well-established shadow government.

Speaking during the Thanksgiving service of Funyula Member of Parliament Dr. Wilberforce Mudenyo, Otuoma chided section leaders from Teso region for championing tribalism in the name of advocating for a county secession.

Odm Vice-chairperson and former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe called on the Mulembe nation to focus on unity through consultative measures.

Host MP Wilberforce Mudenyo, his Budalangi counterpart Raphael Wanjala, Oku Kaunya of Teso North and Vihiga senator Godfrey Osotsi  were among other leaders  who attended the service.
