Highly rated Brazilian wonderkid Estevão Willian is set to join Chelsea after the FIFA Club World Cup, according to his agent Andre Cury. 

The 17-year-old Palmeiras sensation has been on the radar of several European giants, but Chelsea have won the race for his signature in what is considered a major coup for the Premier League side.

Speaking to the media, Andre Cury confirmed the deal and expressed high confidence in Estevão’s future impact. “He will join Chelsea after the Club World Cup,” Cury said. “He’s a world-class player.

He’s so good, he will make history at Chelsea.”Estevão, who has been nicknamed “Messinho” in Brazil due to his flair and attacking style, has attracted attention from top clubs including Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich. 

According to Cury, both PSG and Bayern made strong attempts to sign the youngster, but it was Chelsea who ultimately secured his commitment.The transfer, believed to be in the region of €65 million including add-ons, reflects Chelsea’s ongoing strategy of investing in young talent from South America. 

The Blues hope Estevão can follow in the footsteps of fellow Brazilians who have made a significant impact in European football.The player will remain with Palmeiras for the time being, helping them through the domestic season and the upcoming Club World Cup campaign, before making the move to Stamford Bridge.
