Over 2,000 Kilifi locals benefit from free medical camp

More than two thousand locals in Mariakani within Kilifi county have benefited from a free medical camp .
The camp has been sponsored by Mabati Rolling Mills in partnership with the Lions club of Mombasa Pwani.
The locals hailing from different parts of the county applauded the management of the Mabati factory for giving treatment services free of charge.
They termed it as a relief considering the economic constraints in the county.
“We are glad to have such services conducted free of charge to us. We are currently going through a harsh economic time now. We appreciate this effort a lot” said a resident who spoke on condition of anonymity.
At the same time while speaking at the Mabati Health Center in Mariakani, The Eye lion club hospital President Morara Matunda said despite the exercise being suspended for two years due to corona pandemic, the number has been growing over the years.
He further advised the residents not to be misled by false information about the services assuring them of safe services.
”I urge the residents to ignore the rumors regarding our services. We provide best and safe assured treatment to our customers who seek our service in our facilities and beyond” Matunda stated.
On other hand, Mabati Rolling Mill factory Manager , Paul Odhiambo, stressed the need for various philanthropists to collaborate in highlighting the various challenges facing locals.
He noted that such services need a concerted effort.

“I call upon other stakeholders to put our efforts together in initiating sustainable solutions to the various social challenges facing our residents, ” Omondi noted.
