Kangundo Level 4 Hospital receives laundry machines worth Kshs.1.5

Kangundo Level 4 Hospital has received a clothes dryer and washing machine all worth over kshs.1.5 million from Dr.Vincent Muli Kituku wa Musoo, Founder and Director of the organization and Caring Hearts High School.
Dr Lavinia Mayabi the Medical Superintendent says the machines will come in handy in managing the hospital laundry as they were previously forced to travel 40 Km to Machakos Level 5 hospital of Kathiani level 4 Hospital for the same services.
“Is has not been easy , many useful working hours were previously lost while seeking laundry services and this will translate to improved hygiene at our facility and better service delivery to our people thanks to the well wisher,”Noted Dr Mayabi.
Dr.Vincent Muli Kituku wa Musoo Dr Kituku who resides in America also donated drugs and food stuffs at the Kangundo level 4 hospital to better improve service delivery to patients seeking medical services at the facility.
Speaking as he led the delegation that presented the donation, former Kangundo Member of County Assembly said the drier accompanies another donation of a washing machine that the facility received from the well-wisher in the previous months.
“Patient’s clothes will be washed using the washing machine and immediately dried with the drier we presented today so that those sick people in the wards and any other hospital beddings and clothing cleanliness can be maintained,” said Mitaa
Mitaa said the hospital was forced to take their clothes either to Machakos level 5 referral hospital or Kathiani level four, for lack of a washing machine or drier in the facility and the gifts will help reduce the costs incurred while seeking such services elsewhere.
The hospital had earlier on received a suction machine,repaired the hospital generator, to ensure uninterrupted 24 hr service delivery at the level 4 facility.
