EACC Concludes over 500 corruption cases

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption commission (EACC) has concluded investigations into 501 high impact corruption cases for the last 3 years,
The investigations were carried out between 2018 and 2021 where 191 cases were finalized in Court.
Addressing the clergy in Machakos County Eacc Chair former Archbishop Eliud Wabukala has said property worth KSh22.8B has been forfeited to the state,
“We urge the Clergy to join in the fight against corruption by preaching against the vice that may have been glorified in the community, we need consulted efforts to succeed in the fight against corruption”said Wabukala.
The EACC Chair has confirmed that the anti-graft body is currently investigating corruption cases that would see Ksh33B shillings forfeited back to the state.
“The EACC sleuths have saved the country a loss of Ksh 32.5B that would have been lost through corruption and other dubious means, “Said Wabukhala.
Over 4,101 corruption cases of individuals including senior government officials and Governors are currently being investigated and 19 of the cases have been concluded in Court so far.
