Uasin Gishu:Enforcement officers arrest a Notorious drug peddler!

Uasin Gishu County enforcement officers Friday arrested a notorious drug peddler along the Chemororoch area well known as Mangula within Eldoret Town with at least 200 rolls of marijuana and a litre of Chang’aa.

Mary Wanjiru was re-arrested barely two weeks after the said enforcement officers arrested her and her accomplice along the same area with 50 rolls of marijuana.

Wanjiru, a resident of Mandizini, Huruma Ward, acknowledged ownership of the illegal substance noting that she has been operating the business for a while now.

County law enforcement officers said they came across Mary selling Bang at Asis Garage during their normal operations within Eldoret town.

“This lady has become a notorious illicit substance seller at our town’s streets and we don’t know how she managed to be released the other time we arrested her” explained county enforcement officers

The suspect is currently held at Eldoret central police station waiting to be arranged in court on Monday.

Uasin Gishu Count Director Alcoholic drinks control board Koiya Arap Maiyo has warned that the fight against illicit brew and hard drugs within the County will be heightened and culprits arrested and arraigned in court.
