Uasin Gishu:A Section of residents declare their support towards Saba Saba Mass protests!

A section of Residents from Uasin Gishu have declared their support for the Saba Saba mass demonstrations that are to take place this Friday.
The protests are aimed at conveying rejection of President William Ruto’s announced tax measures.
The Residents claim the protests could tame the government’s growing tax appetite and could force it to bring down the plummeting costs of basic commodities.
According to Edward Okeyo, a resident of Uasin Gishu, the main problem facing Kenyans today is the high fuel prices.
“When the fuel prices are reduced everything else will fall into place” Stated Edward.
Azimio Leader Raila Odinga urged Kenyans to turn up in great numbers on Friday to show their disapproval of what he stated as a Parliament takeover by the executive.
However some of the residents have accused the planned mass action saying the opposition ought to have shot down the finance act 2023 at the floor of the house instead of creating civil disobedience.
“The opposition is not sincere over the high taxes ,some of their Mps were missing at the National Assembly during the debates , they cannot now purport to disagree with the act by leading Kenyans into protests”Said a resident
The Azimio Leader Raila Odinga has described the finance act 2023 as rather tyrannical and would affect Kenyans by increasing the cost of living.
Nyando Legislator Jared Okello railed at Kenya Kwanza leaders for attacking the Judiciary over its court order on Friday against the execution of the new finance law.
