State:Over 2,000 prisoners in Eldoret each to receive a bed and a mattress!

The State Department for Correctional Services will embark on an ambitious initiative dubbed “one prisoner, one bed, one mattress”
The Principal Secretary, Ms. Mary Muthoni Muriuki,says the initiative is aimed at improving correctional services .
The Ministry will partner with the private sector to build capacity through provision of beds to Eldoret and Ngeria prisons.
