County Government of Elgeyo Marakwet Distributes drugs worth Sh39M
The County government of Elgeyo marakwet Tuesday distributed drugs and non pharmaceutical commodities worth Sh39 million to its various health facilities.
Deliveries were from KEMSA and MEDs.
Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Wesley Rotich has committed to improving health care services in the County.
“Currently, we are in the process of constructing an Out Patient Department (OPD) block and a septic tank at Tabare dispensary in Metkei Ward and an X-ray unit at Kaptarakwa Sub County Hospital in Keiyo South Sub County” He noted.
Other projects going on in the Elgeyo Marakwet health department include the construction of septic tanks at Kipsoen dispensary, Anin,Kibigos dispensary OPD, and construction of a maternity wing at Kaptabuk healthcare, as well as construction of wards at Kapsowar & Kamogo health facilities and Lukuget Emergency delivery room in lower Sambirir.
The projects are aimed at enhancing quality healthcare delivery to the residents of Elgeyo Marakwet County.
